Amazon SimpleDB probably uses Erlang

This guy claims that Amazon’s new SimpleDB web service uses the Erlang language. Erlang is a concurrent/functional programming language designed for reliable, distributed systems. I haven’t figured out what Erlang means by “reliable” yet.
